Here’s how it all started….
I was first introduced to baking in 4-H and then there was a lull.
Flash forward a decade or more later and I started to flex my creative baking muscles again. I was cast as “Essie”, the candymaker, in “You Can’t Take It With You” and I thought it would be fun to bring treats weekly for the cast during the run of the show. Thus began my tradition to bring “theme” treats for opening night of a show I was involved in and a bit of buzz started to build…
Then I created the Cupcake Kebab.
When I created it, my goal was to simply create something worthy of a post on the “Cupcakes Take the Cake” blog as I was taking them to their annual Cupcake Picnic. Little did I know that their post would cause a Cupcake Kebab craze. Search for “cupcake kebab” or “cupcake kabob” and you’ll find my creation in addition to several other versions after mine was introduced! It was amazing!
Although I have dabbled with regularly selling my treats, ultimately I like Bakerella‘s philosophy when she’s asked about whether she sells her baked goods – like cake pops – “Yikes, I don’t do that… But here are cake pop and cupcake pop instructions so you can make them.”
So enjoy reading about my creations, using the recipes and looking at the photos. And if you use any of the content on here for your own blog/website please reference my website as your source.
Thank you and Enjoy!
